Mended Little Hearts of the Rio Grande Valley will be holding its September meeting on September 23, 2008 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.  This meeting will be held at a new location, the Rio Grande Regional Hospital in Mcallen. At this meeting we will have a presentation of our Charter accredidation presented to us by Mended Hearts Southwest Regional Director Lynn Berringer. We also want to make this night a picture and story night so please bring any photos and stories to share. Please join us for this special night and have some light snacks and refreshments.

Heart Walk PDF Print E-mail

Mended Little Hearts of the Rio Grande Valley will be participating in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. The event will be held on November 8th, 2008 at the 495 Commerce Center. Registration will begin at 7am that morning.

The 2008 Heart Walk is an annual 5K non-competitive family walking event designed to bring public awareness to physical activity and a heart-healthy lifestyle, while at the same time, raising the critical dollars needed to fund the life-saving research and educational community programs of the American Heart Association.  

This will give the Mended Little Hearts of the RGV a great opportunity to not only support the AHA but to have child survivors featured in the event. Please come out to join us! Contact Team Captain Michelle Gonzalez @ 956-588-6586 for more information.

Mended Little Hearts of the Rio Grande Valley is a new support group here in the Rio Grande Valley. Our mission is to support families who are affected by children with congenital heart disease or defects. We plan to provide families from the entire Rio Grande Valley, from Rio Grande City to Brownsville. Please check our website often as new events and announcements are coming soon!
